1500 has been recognized for its green design initiatives, as a finalist for the 2009 Investing in Nature awards, presented by The Nature Conservancy and Journal Publications Inc.
This acknowledgement is given to ventures "that improve our economy and further the mission of protecting the diversity of life on Earth."
